JOB DESCRIPTION
Communicate and work with engineers to develop and document test procedures
Assist in the identification, installation and implementation of test equipment, instrumentation and data acquisition systems
Ensure test equipment is maintained and calibrated as well as track calibration schedules
Record and compile data, maintain accurate records, prepare technical reports and verbally communicate results with conclusions and recommendations.
Assist in the development and documentation of new procedures.
Maintain and organize laboratory equipment and facilities.
Work in collaboration with the designers and engineers in developing new products.
Effectively, efficiently, and safely utilize the equipment in the Model Shop to support all areas of New Product Development to produce parts, prototypes, or models.
Adhere to timelines and accurate completions of projects. Communicate effectively to keep team updated on project status, issues, and concerns. Identify potential barriers to meeting completion timelines as soon as they arise.
Document changes during the prototype stages of developing new product and communicates changes to the designer or engineer assigned to the project.
Perform bench work with hand tools, as necessary.
MUST HAVE
- Candidates MUST be a US citizen or green card holder
- Candidates MUST have experience in a manufacturing environment
- Candidates should have experience in either gas, appliance, or HVAC industry somewhere in their career, but will consider candidates who have demonstrated the ability to acclimate to wide-ranging environments if they haven’t had experience in one of those industries
- Candidates MUST have a mechanical engineering background (they don’t have to have a degree, but that is highly preferred
- Bilingual Spanish HIGHLY preferred
- High school Diploma or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in gas appliance industry, commercial or residential
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
